Ingredients:
- 1.5 litres chilled water or water at room temperature
- 6 tablespoons of sattu (roasted black chickpea flour)
- 4 to 6 tablespoons of regular sugar, organic unrefined cane sugar, or jaggery – adjust according to taste
- ¼ teaspoon of black salt or 2 to 3 pinches of black salt (optional)
Instructions:
- Pour chilled water into individual glasses or into a jug.
- Add 2 tablespoons of sattu to each glass.
- Sweeten with sugar or jaggery to taste, typically 2 to 3 teaspoons per serving.
- Optionally, sprinkle a pinch of black salt into each glass for a hint of tanginess. For an extra zing, consider adding lemon or lime juice.
- Stir thoroughly to ensure all ingredients are well combined.
- Serve immediately after mixing, or refrigerate for a while before serving. Note that the flour may settle, so give it a good stir before serving if it’s been chilled.
